why the hell do they make the stealth 1TB available through their store only.
I was planning to order one from amazon as soon as the got the 1TB ready but hell now I have to wait some more

Then don't buy off Amazon if the price bothers you. Try some sites where you know you may have a good chance of getting one cheaper, such as eBay, perhaps Craigslist? There's always somewhere you can get one cheaper.
