Disputes Information
#1
Hello members of DemonForums,  today the Staff Team is issuing an official format and guideline list for opening disputes/scam reports on users here. Be sure to read this thread in its entirety. If opening a dispute and the guidelines are not followed, your report will be closed and you will be linked here for a chance to redo your thread.

When opening a dispute, it's a great start to include the necessary information for staff to get involved.
  • Username of Reported Scammer
  • Proof of Transaction
  • Information on the sold/purchased item(s)
  • Date of Transaction/Scam
Keep in mind the site rules are still into place, which means even though someone has scammed you, you are not allowed to issue negative reputation on the user until the user has been proved a scammer. Depending on the scenario, the user may receive a suspension or permanent restriction from the forums, scamming will not be tolerated.

When opening a dispute, the following template should be used.

Code:
User in question (scammer) ________________
User(s) who have been scammed: ________________
Rough time and date of scam(s): DD/MM/YY HH:MM AM/PM
Location (Skype/DF PMs/etc) ________________
Evidence: Images, videos, etc
What did the scammer offer? ________________
What did you receive from the scammer? ________________
What did you offer to give the scammer? ________________
What did you give the scammer? ________________
Estimated worth of item(s) lost (USD) ________________

Please note, DemonForums is not held responsible for any transactions that result in the loss of your money, we are merely here to reduce the amount of times this happens, and to make sure the same incident doesn't occur for other users. You file disputes at your own choice. These rules can be changed at any time by a member of the DF Staff Team without prior notice.
