[Help Plz] Ethernet adapter vs Ethernet network card
#1
Hey guys (and unlikely ladies), When I bought my computer I was careless and bought a motherboard with a 10-megabyte ethernet speed. So I bought this: Here (its a $25 ethernet adapter). The adapter only has a 100 meg transfer speed on my computer, with my other computer I can get about 110 meg/s over regular internet (the computer had 144.4 meg card for wireless). Not to mention the adapter always messes up and goes back to a 10meg speed every time I restart my computer, I end up wasting 3-10 min fiddling with it before is works. So recently I have been debating whether or not to buy an internal ethernet network card similar to this, if not this exact one: Here

Which would be better, adapter or card. I want more than 100 meg/s.

Thank You!

The answers I found were vague, I just want to know if an ethernet network card will give me speeds above 100mbs.
