The Ultimate Sleeper Gaming PC Build...
#1
Hey everyone, I have a very unique build here. My budget is going to be $600 ish dollars for the best (USED) sleeper gaming pc money can buy

I'm going to buy a used Dell Optiplex 755 from e-bay for about 30 US dollars.

I'm going to get a stick of 4 GB ram ($20)

A very good and trusted PSU to not kill any other components because tat would be hell for me ($50)

I'm going to get a new CPU for the LGA 775 socket for the motherboard (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE DELL PC ITSELF) This is a separate CPU.
It is worth around $30 for the Intel Quad Core 2.66 GHZ Q9400 CPU ($30)

The final piece to this beauty will be a AMD R9 Fury graphics card. Yes a $500 GPU.... You might think it will be HEAVILY bottle necked by the CPU. But that is only slightly true.

The price to performance here will be much greater then if you would buy new parts from a Skylake build with a DDR3 motherboard. This DDR2 is much cheaper and not that much slower. The Cpu is amazing for its money, Four cores and 2.66 GHZ with 6 MB cache is insane for only 30 bucks. If you bought a brand new CPU from new egg you would only be able to get a AMD Sempron 1 GHZ processor?!?!? Its horrible and would probably be barly able to render 1080p youtube videos....

This PC should cost a good $650 at least, but if you would look up a YouTube gaming pc. They all have the newest and best stuff and dont put enough money into the build for a GPU. I want to show everyone that you dont need to get the best and newest stuff on the market for the greatest pc you can get. This is going to be a statement to everyone to prove into everyones faces how they will be horribly wrong.
( If I do fail, well I'll look like a complete dumbass :/ )

That is actually very good performance from a $ 150 budget..
But as he said, you're stuck with the build you have, can't really be upgraded a lot or anything.
Though for a small amount of $ 150, it's good.
