Yeah.. Sadly there's a lot of good artists like that, who die way too early and way too young.
Sometimes it's even the popularity that drives them to their death, like Kurt Cobain. 
Two others that were also really good who died too soon, Jim Morrison and Brian Jones. 
There's quite a few others but I just can't think of them right now.
